YOUTH TOURNAMENT 2010

The Northern Ireland Provincial Bowling Association in conjunction with GM Computer Systems are delighted to invite entries for a Youth Tournament to be held on the following dates :-

 Wednesday 14th July at Brookgreen BC at 7PM

Monday 16th August at Coleraine BC at 7PM

Monday 30th August at Ballymoney BC at 7PM

 Tournament Rules

  • The Tournament is open to all males and females who are under 21 on 1st June 2010.

  • All players must be attached to clubs affiliated to either the NIPBA or the PTWBA.

  • Names of players wishing to play and their date of birth must be supplied to the Hon Competition Secretary – Mr. Colin Hogg (e-mail hoggc@sky.com, Tel – 02886761726) on or before Friday 2nd July.

  • Each player will play 3 games of 6 ends each night. Voucher prizes will be awarded to the winners on each night of play.

  • The overall winner over the 3 nights of play will receive a Laptop Computer and Colour Inkjet Printer supplied by GM Computer Systems.

  • Points will be awarded as follows:

    2 points for attendance on each night of play

    3 points for each game won

    2 points for each game drawn

    1 point for each game lost

 

The General Purposes Committee would like to thank Mr.Derek Smyth of GM Computer Systems for his continued support of Youth and Junior Bowls in our Association and would encourage all the member clubs of both the NIPBA and the PTWBA to make an effort to support this venture.

Coaching Sessions will be held at Coleraine Bowling Club starting on Saturday 17th April at 10.00am

 These sessions are aimed primarily at beginners and those new to the outdoor game but all others are welcome.
