NIPBA RETAIN TITLE

The Provincial Bowling Association created history last weekend when they retained the Senior Inter Association Championship. Since the competition began back in 1937 we have never won back to back titles. However at Old Bleach on Friday night and at Belmont on the Saturday a combination of tremendous team spirit and top class bowling secured another memorable victory. With Jeremy Henry and Ian McClure returning to the team confidence was high and this was evident as we secured wins against the NIBA and the BLI. Although we were defeated by the PGL in the last game rink victories by Jeremy Henry and Colin Hogg secured the two points needed to be crowned champions. Both the players and selectors can be very proud of their achievement and our President Morris Smyth can look forward to lifting the trophy at the IBA dinner.
