NIPBA Flag Unfurling 2010

Last Saturday, 10th April, President Robert Madden officially opened the new season by raising the Association Flag at Coleraine Bowling Club.  It was pleasing to see every club in the Association represented as bowlers and guests from the kindred Associations enjoyed the afternoon's bowling in the bright sunshine.  All then enjoyed an excellent meal in the Lodge Hotel.  In his speech Robert expressed his immense pride of being President and thanked Coleraine Bowling Club for his nomination.  Robert also asked clubs for their support of the new league structure.  He continued by thanking the Progressive Building Society for their generous sponsorship and wished all present an enjoyable season's bowling.

The Association is also indebted to Morris Smyth and Brian Begley who presented new trophies which will be presented to the winners and runners-up in the new Division 3 league.

Thanks are due to Robert and members of the Coleraine Club for their hospitality and to Tommy Smith for his organisation of the event.
